1986 S2 27 Performance Cruiser with 2012 dual-axle trailer *** Asking $13,500 ***

S2 27 Performance Cr
uiser with 2012 dual-axle trailer The S2 27 was based on the design of the very popular S2 7.9 Grand Slam racer – the lines are very similar but this model offers a fixed keel and a much larger interior, the speed is still comparable. This is a stiff and fast boat that excels in all conditions but is very comfortable to stay on. She has a very light and balanced helm and points remarkably well. The boat handles easily with roller furling genoa, self-tailing winches, sail controls leading to the cockpit and a Raymarine ST-1000 autopilot (2011). She is a breeze to singlehand cruise or race.

Sails are in fair/good condition with new Sunbrella on 140 % genoa and new mainsail cover. Inboard Yanmar 1GM diesel starts on the first try and the boat is equipped with a Martec folding propeller for maximum speed.

Below, the boat offers 6-foot plus headroom throughout, a comfortably sized v-berth, and the starboard bunk pulls out into a double bed. The midship-located head also offers FULL headroom, a feature that is hard to find in most boats this size. I apologize for not having interior pics right now but it is the layout depicted in the brochure.

All exterior teak is in good condition and coated with Cetol, cabin sole and much of the interior teak was refinished in 2011. Amenities include shorepower, built in battery charger, Origo Alcohol Stove, dual batteries with isolator switch.

Other features include:

· 2012 Sailtrailers dual-axle road trailer with launch wheel (Approximately $3K replacement value)
· Swim ladder
· Bimini
· Two solar vents
· Two cowl vents
· Holding tank
· Mostly new running rigging (2011)
· New West Marine upper lifelines (2012)
· Anchor/running gear
· Stereo
· Datamarine knotmeter
· Datamarine depthmeter (not functioning, could possibly be repaired)
· Bottom repainted with multi-season ablative July 2012.
· Manual pump sinks in head and galley
· Ice Box
· USCG Documented
· PHRF rating 186

This boat is ready to sail and enjoy, we are only listing because we are leaving in June and may be stationed overseas next (Army). I would characterize her as being in good/very good condition for her age. The only deficiencies are 1) Non functioning depth meter, 2) Non-functioning bow navigation lights (I have some battery powered ones I have been using when necessary), 3) Mainsail leech line needs to be replaced along with some other minor repairs – I’d estimate $100-150.

Can be seen at Rock Canyon Marina.

Asking $13,500 with trailer. Must be sold as a package. There are two other S2 27s currently on Yachtworld.com from $9,500-$10,500 with no trailer. They also do not appear to be in as good a condition as this boat.
